Hi and hope you had a wonderful day! The week is flying by and I am already looking forward to Easter!
Today’s breakfast was steel cut oats with almond milk and Just Like Sugar. Just Like Sugar is like Stevia only it’s made from chicory root- it tastes…wait for it… just like sugar and has zero weird aftertaste.:) Breakfast part 2 was a raspberry, blueberry, and banana smoothie. I added flax oil, chia seeds, and maca powder as well as a handful of spinach.
I thought I would share my method in making smoothies since I have one almost every day. (Much to the annoyance of anyone sleeping in)
Super Simple Smoothie Tutorial:
1.) Choose 1 cup base fruit- blueberry, strawberry, mango, pineappy, you name it.
2.) Add one frozen banana. Keep frozen banana chpped into thirds(easier for blender) in your freezer
3.) Add 1 1/2 cup almond milk, milk, or coconut milk
4.) Put in desired add -ins. Suggested: protein powder, chia seed, flax see, maca, or bee pollen
5.) Add 1/3-1 cup low sugar yogurt (optional)
6.) Add a handful of spinach (you don’t taste it, I promise!)
7.) Blend and enjoy:)
A few ideas are peaches n cream smoothies, pumpkin pie shakes, PB+C Smoothies, and tropical smoothies. Have fun and be creative!
