Well Preserved

       You pull up to the McDonald’s drive-thru window and in a desperate attempt to choose the healthiest menu item, you select chicken mcnuggets. Chicken has to be pretty simple, right? Wrong, unless your definition of simple includes 37 ingredients in every little McNugget. Or, say you’re grocery shopping and want to buy healthy foods for your family. You can feel good about putting MorningStar Veggie Burgers in your cart as a nutritious alternative to fatty burgers, right? Nope. That is, of course, unless you love feeding your children a patty that is mainly made from MSG. In today’s world, eating clean and healthy is like navigating a tricky obstacle course, and food companies have found some sneaky ways to get harmful chemicals into their products. So how do you know which ones to look out for? The diagram I made below contains the main culprits that you should be avoiding, yet are probably eating on a daily basis.
